New Year’s Resolutions from the Zubie Crew

With 2013 coming to a close, a new year is a fresh start to make positive changes in your everyday routine. At Zubie, we chose to focus on ways to improve our driving habits. Here are some of the ways the Zubie Crew are making 2014 the best year yet on the road!

“My resolution is to listen to e-books in the car.”

“My goal is to spend more time paying attention to my lifeline to the ground: tires. Here is my über-geeky acronym: AIR

Inflate (well… or deflate)

“Being smarter when shopping for a used car! I am looking for a newer car. 2/3 of cars I test drove have hidden issues reported by Zubie. I can see Zubie saves me a lot of time and money since I don’t need to take those cars for a mechanic check.  Another time saver is Edmunds’s true market value reported within the app so I don’t need to do search by myself.”

“Lower my insurance costs with Zubie by using the upcoming Offers section in the app.”

“I want to wax my car more often and never look at my phone when I’m on the road!”

“Avoid getting stranded roadside with family in tow like I did in 2013!”

“I have two…
1. Drive the car, park the phone (no texting, no browsing)
2. Less talk, more tunes (use drive time less for gabbing and more for reflection…oh, and Katy Perry)

What are you resolutions for becoming a better driver in the new year? Have a safe and wonderful New Year!

CES 2014 Semi-Finalist – We Need your Vote!

We’re thrilled to have been selected as a semifinalist in the Mobile Apps Showdown for CES 2014.   In a year that has seen many new innovations in hardware, services and Internet of Things,  we’re proud to represent as the standard-bearer of the connected-car segment.

But here’s the deal.  We need your support to make it into the top 10 and hopefully be selected as the top application.  Top 10 finalists will present in a live event hosted by that Titan of Tech, Gary Dell’Abate  of the Howard Stern show (ok, we kid because we love).   In any case, it will be a death match and we’ve got some serious, southern-fried ninja power.

Click here to proceed to the voting screen, and select Zubie halfway down the list and click on Vote.  Easy peasy, and then you can come visit us at CES and watch us battle it out in Vegas.

Let’s make it happen, Zubie fans!   More on our activities at CES in a later post….

For generations, it was the automotive industry that drove how new technologies were integrated into automobiles. Mascarenas’s comments hit home at Zubie, where we’ve developed an AlwaysSmartTM connectivity solution that delivers the kind of high data quality that customers, OEMs, dealers and service providers require to help customers with their automotive service needs. read more
