Zubie Asset Trak Geolocates Equipment and Assets, Viewable Alongside Fleet Vehicles on Zubie’s Web Portal

October 6, 2020, Bloomington, MNZubie, a leading connected-car platform and telematics software provider, today announced the launch of Zubie Asset Trak, a GPS device designed to track equipment and assets such as trailers, containers, industrial lawn mowers, and UTVs. Asset Trak is a powerful complement to Zubie Fleet Connect and the full range of vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions enabling customers to manage all of their vehicle and equipment tracking in a single place. Operation Managers, especially those in the construction, utilities, agricultural, landscaping, and heavy transportation, often have to keep track of assets moving around from job-site to job-site, and Zubie Asset Trak gives them the ability to do so, and receive alerts when the asset moves outside of any custom geofenced boundary the user sets up. Additionally, with using Zubie Location Link, the asset’s location can be shared with a third party such as the police, helping assist in recovery of the asset.

“We knew any tracking solution we implemented needed to not just track an asset, but aid in recovery, and with Zubie Asset Trak, we have that solution,” said Zubie CEO Gary Tucker.”Everything we do revolves around the principle of making a fleet manager’s job simpler, giving them the ability to track their assets alongside their vehicles in one simple-to-use platform was critical to our implementation.”
Smaller than a deck of playing cards, Zubie Asset Trak’s low-profile form makes it simple to hide, and the magnetic mounting plate makes installation simple to perform by a non-technical employee. The device is waterproof and features up to a year of battery life under normal usage conditions, wirelessly rechargeable in less than four hours.

New Web App Home Page, Map Features Make Information Simpler to Access; Features Added to Improve Experience for Large Fleet Managers

June 24, 2020, Bloomington, MNZubie,

a leading connected-car platform and telematics software provider, launched an upgraded user interface and user experience for its Fleet Connect and Rental Connect software solutions, which serve business, rental, and loaner fleets. The updates deliver centralized insights, enhanced usability, and improved speed, and set Zubie up to quickly integrate functionality previously unavailable in the fleet management software space.

Key site updates include a “Vehicle Overview” page that summarizes critical information in a single, customizable dashboard, an improved map experience, and a view of vehicle trips that’s easier to navigate. In addition to an improved product experience, customers will experience a faster, more responsive site. While improvements in app performance help across the board, enhancements in site speed are particularly beneficial for larger fleets. Frequent activities like mapping the location of hundreds of vehicles in real-time or examining detailed information about long trips are up to 3x faster. These improvements demonstrate a necessary upgrade as Zubie continues to increase its market share in rental cars and dealer loaner fleets.

“The idea of ‘simple’ is a part of every conversation we have at Zubie, and our new user experience is no exception,” said Zubie CEO Gary Tucker. “An enhanced user interface, combined with our focus on aggressively adding integration partners gives fleet managers easier access to their vehicles insights in more places than any other telematics software provider.”

With thousands of users across different ages and levels of sophistication, the Zubie technology team’s goal was to make the experience simpler while ramping up the analytical sophistication for power users. The new user experience is intuitive but retains the robust analytical power without being overwhelming, presenting business insights so fleet managers can make good business decisions.

“We’ve introduced a user experience that helps help both our small business fleet customers and well as our larger partners like Nationwide Insurance,” said Chad Caswell, Zubie’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our goal was to take a lot of detailed information and robust capabilities and make them simpler for fleet managers to access, understand, and to take action on the insights Zubie provides.”

The partnership expands Zubie’s reach to include dealer loaner programs, provides holistic on and off-lot tracking capability

February 12, 2020, Bloomington, MN

Zubie, a leading connected-car platform and telematics data insights provider, announced a new integration partnership with AutoMap, the leading inventory tracking and audit solution for dealerships to launch its new product, AutoMap Pro™, which will add the capability of off-lot tracking for dealership loaner fleets.

Currently, the AutoMap system provides dealerships with the means to track their inventory using a Bluetooth-based solution, great for flooring audits, vehicle movement across departments, and now can alert the dealership to recall alerts with the most comprehensive system available. The addition of Zubie’s telematics capabilities extends the reach of dealers to track their loaner vehicles when they leave the lot, allowing them to locate and recover vehicles quickly and efficiently. For Zubie, this partnership expands their product base beyond fleet and rental operations, into dealership loaner fleet management.

“Locating and recovering loaner vehicles is as challenging for dealership operators as it is for rental and fleet managers,” said Gary Tucker, CEO of Zubie. “We are enthusiastic about our partnership with AutoMap, giving dealership general managers a proven telematics solution to help protect their assets and optimize their business with the same success we’ve provided to rental and business fleet operators.”

AutoMap’s device installs and removes in seconds and automates tracking and reporting, eliminating human error and simplifying the logistics process of on-lot vehicle tracking for sales teams, service managers, and auditors.

“The ability to take our strong existing on-lot solution and expand it beyond the boundaries of the dealership is an exciting proposition for dealership general managers,” said Mark Sargeant, CEO of AutoMap. “With this Zubie partnership, AutoMap customers can now track their loaner cars once they leave the dealership with the same efficiency and simplicity as when they’re at the dealership.”

Nationwide Launches Program to Drive Fleet Management and Safety in Human Services

Insurance carrier partners with Azuga and Zubie to offer new telematics program in New York, New Jersey and Texas

COLUMBUS, Ohio –Human services organizations have unique customer and business needs. Keeping a close eye on fleet vehicles and driver performance is not only critical for ensuring client safety but can also boost business performance and reduce costly interruptions. Yet, the technology needed to track vehicles and driver safety in real time can often require significant investment and multiyear contracts, putting these tools out of reach for budget-strapped business owners.

Nationwide has established a telematics partnership program to reduce the cost barriers associated with exploring telematics and fleet management solutions. Now available in New York, New Jersey and Texas, the Vantage 360 Premium Partner Program offers comprehensive fleet management and GPS tracking for qualifying human services organizations at little to no cost.

“Employee and customer safety are top priorities for any business, but for those managing fleet vehicles, the cost of telematics equipment can often prohibit implementing solutions to monitor safe driving and vehicle efficiency,” said Pete Frey, director of Commercial Telematics and Connected Business at Nationwide. “By helping to ease the cost burden for telematics solutions, we feel business owners can more realistically embrace telematics and fleet management and learn from valuable insights that will ultimately help them boost performance and improve the safety of both drivers and customers.”

To kick off the new program, Nationwide has partnered with leading telematics solution providers, Azuga and Zubie, to offer customers advanced telematics systems with fleet management and GPS tracking capabilities.

With the partnership program, human service organizations can:

  • Track fleet vehicles in real time
  • Find the closest driver to respond to client needs
  • Monitor vehicle health and receive immediate notifications of engine or battery issues
  • Measure mileage and vehicle utilization
  • Monitor driver performance, including hard braking, speeding or rapid acceleration
  • Verify arrival and departure from client sites

“At a time when many carriers are limiting insurance coverage, limits and services for human services businesses, Nationwide is elevating its solutions by making it easy to prioritize driver and client safety with telematics,” said Cheryl Tamasitis, associate vice president of Human Services at Nationwide. “We want to give business owners and fleet managers peace of mind with a solution to ensure the safe and efficient use of their vehicles so they can continue to focus on serving those in need.”

Zubie, based in Minneapolis, MN, is a telematics provider committed to providing smart, easy and simple solutions for businesses with small and medium-sized fleets. Vantage 360 Fleet, launched in July 2019 and currently available in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana and South Carolina, is a mobile app telematics solution available for small market customers.
